We invite both full papers and short papers in areas related to the conference themes. All contributions will be refereed, and accepted papers will appear in the Living Machines Proceedings, published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence. Living Machines is a community-driven effort. All authors who submit are expected to review 1-2 papers to ensure rigorous and timely review.
All deadlines provided below are in the AoE (Anywhere on Earth) time zone.
FULL PAPERS – 30th March, 2025 11:59 pm
Full papers (10-12 pages, ~300 words per page) are invited from researchers at any stage in their career and should present significant findings and advances in biomimetic or biohybrid research. Full papers will be accepted for either oral presentation (single track) or poster presentation. Authors with more than one paper will be limited to a maximum of one oral presentation.
SHORT PAPERS – 30th March, 2025 11:59 pm
More preliminary work would be better suited for short papers (4-6 pages, ~300 words per page). Short papers will be accepted for poster presentation only.
LATE-BREAKING ABSTRACTS -18th May, 2025 11:59 pm
In addition to the peer reviewed papers described above, we also invite short format late-breaking abstracts for consideration for poster presentations. Late-breaking abstracts should be no more than 2,300 characters, including punctuation but not spaces. Abstracts will appear in the backmatter of the proceedings, and will not be indexed.
